Hi! I’m Valerie.

I’m a lifelong horse lover. I grew up in Southern California, where I learned to ride amongst the orange groves of Riverside.

Much later, in my 30s, I got my own horse. I rode him on trails and in one limited-distance ride. The last place I boarded him was the inspiration for the Fairy Glen Suspense Series.

I find peace in nature and solace among animals. I’m currently animal-free, and may get back into riding if my old body can take it.

I live in the San Diego area with my husband, and continue to write while also trying to make a living 😉.
